This all began when, last year- 2022, we had the honour of hosting our son and daughter in laws’ wedding on what we consider the “dream site” obviously biased opinion!

The work began early last year preparing the site overlooking Loch Patrick, it was during the preparations for this wedding that we realised the local resources we have in and around Castle Douglas – Caterers, DJ, Bar Hire, Pipers and Flowers, to name but a few.

After much consideration, we have decided to hire out the site to allow other couples the chance to have a truly unique wedding of their choice

There is no electricity and no structure – just space and the most beautiful views, allowing you to choose and hire your own suppliers – we are happy to provide couples with a list of recommended, local suppliers.

When you book the site you get full use of Barmoffity Shepherds Hut, situated on the banks of Loch Patrick  – imagine spending your wedding night in such a romantic setting!
